I’m Jeff Bernheisel, the Marketing Director for HomeQuest, a real estate software/Wordpress developer, and M Realty, a cutting edge Real Estate brokerage based in Portland, Oregon.

Combine the two, and you have a pretty cool place to learn, build stuff, test it out, and sell lots of houses.

Prior to joining the M team I was the marketing coordinator at Inman News, where I was in charge of the various marketing and social media campaigns.

I’ve always had a fascination with online marketing. I started my first online business at the age of 15 selling T-shirts. Back then the “internet” was AOL and bulletin boards. Obviously a lot has changed since then. Today we have Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc. All very powerful tools when used correctly. Over the years, I’ve seen some pretty remarkable marketing ideas and tactics, good and bad.  My goal is to help my readers figure out what works, and what doesn’t by exposing examples of both.
